MOSCOW has the most expensive hotels of 75 popular city destinations surveyed by Hogg Robinson Group, a British corporate-travel firm. A Muscovite who earns the local average net wage for 14 professions (such as a teacher or a bank worker) would have to work for 65 hours to pay for a room. Residents of Delhi however, must toil for over twice that time, putting in 160 hours to afford a hotel at $263 a night. By contrast, high wages in Copenhagen and Geneva mean that locals of those cities need only work for a couple of days to pay for a break.
