Obama calls for comprehensive immigration reform

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — President Barack Obama called for comprehensive immigration reform on Thursday, urging Congress to fix “a broken immigration system.” Obama laid out a policy that includes a path to citizenship in a speech at American University in Washington and said “I believe we can put politics aside” to pass reform. Prospects for passage of a bill are uncertain in this election year, however.
